Measuring & Sizing

Tips for Measuring your Backflow Device:

When measuring for the length of an irrigation backflow device allow 3" to 5" to each end to compensate for the thickness of the backflow preventer.
For the height, measure from the ground to the highest point.
Height is not as important as the length, better to be a little long in length then too tight.

When measuring for the length of a double check backflow, allow 5" to 7" to each end to compensate for the diameter of the pipe.

Measure the side of the device that sticks out the furthest, compensating for the thickness of the center.

For the height, measure from the ground to just under the wheel handles. It's not critical that the cover touch the ground.
